FromSoftware Studio announced its high desire to develop future Armored Core games.
After almost a decade of releasing popular games, each offering a unique Souls-like experience, the team at FramSoftware brought back the Armored Core series last year with the release of Armored Core 6: Fires of Rubicon. This action game was praised by critics and players, and now fans are waiting for new information about the future of the series.
In his recent interview with IGN Japan, Hidetaka Miyazaki, head of FramSoftware, explained that the release of Armored Core 6: Fires of Rubicon is a great success for the developer, and FramSoftware has a strong desire to develop new games in this series. Although Miyazaki hopes that the studio can improve the quality of the Armored Core series with each future release, nothing is certain about the future of the series.

Miyazaki continued: “As you can see with Armored Core 6, the Armored Core series is very important to FrameSoftware and we have a strong will to continue it in the future. I think Armored Core 6 is a success for us. On the other hand, everything in this game was not ideal and there is still room for improvement; So I'm not going to stop the series here. However, no concrete decision has been made yet.
In October 2023, Yosoyuki Case, who voiced Rusty (V.IV) in Armored Core 6, confirmed that the game had sold around 2.8 million units worldwide. Armored Core 6: Fires of Rubicon game for PC, PlayStation 5 , PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Xbox Series X | Xbox Series S is available.
