FramSoftware took full ownership of the Elden Ring game

According to filings with the United States Patent and Trademark Office, FramSoftware has acquired the Elden Ring trademark from Bandai Namco.
The Elden Ring trademark is no longer a property of Bandai Namco and belongs to Framsoft Studio. According to a VGC media report, a document was recently submitted to the United States Patent and Trademark Office, which shows that FramSoftware, the developer of the Elden Ring game, has acquired the full rights to the name of this work, and the other Namco subsidiary that was responsible for publishing it. Does not own the Elden Ring trademark.
As reported by VGC, it appears that only the Elden Ring game name has been transferred to FromSoftware, and although it is possible that the rights to the game itself have also been transferred to this developer, the current documents only show the ownership of the Elden Ring name. and there is no information available about the status of game rights. Attorney Richard Hogg told VGC that the transfer of ownership of Elden Ring's IP may not have been made through documents filed with the United States Patent and Trademark Office, and that instead FramSoftware and Bandai Namco signed an agreement with each other .
FramSoftware is currently working on an expansion pack for Elden Ring called Shadow of the Erdtree, and there is no information on its release date. However, reports say that this DLC is in the QA testing phase and therefore its release is imminent.
Elden Ring is now available on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X. The Xbox Series S can be experienced.
