The new Nintendo Direct event is delayed

The new Nintendo Direct event has apparently been pushed back to this week due to the Xbox podcast.
Earlier this month, there were reports that a Nintendo Direct event would be held between 12 and 15 February. This did not happen, leaving fans wondering if such an event would ever take place. Now a reliable insider has claimed that such a program did exist, and indeed still does.
As noted Nintendo insider Pyoro claimed in a series of tweets, the Nintendo Direct Partner Showcase event is scheduled to take place this week. Jeff Grubb recently announced that the event was originally planned for last week, but ended up being delayed due to the Xbox podcast. In this podcast, Microsoft announced the release of four unknown first-party Xbox games for competing platforms.
This suggests that at least one of these games will likely be announced at the next Nintendo Direct event. The list appears to include Hi-Fi Rush, Pentiment, Sea of Thieves, and Grounded, but it remains to be seen which of these games will be officially confirmed for Nintendo Switch in the near future.
Additionally, Pyoro claimed that Evening Star and Private Division's 3D platformer Penny's Big Breakaway will be shown at the upcoming Nintendo Direct event and its release date will be announced. Konami's Contra: Operation Galuga remake demo will also be unveiled at the event, the leaker says.
Of course, if this event is really a Nintendo Direct Partner Showcase, Nintendo will not provide details of first-party Nintendo Switch games; So fans shouldn't expect much information from Princess Peach: Showtime, Luigi's Mansion 2 HD, and Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door.
