The sales of Alan Wake 2 reached 1.3 million copies
Remedy Entertainment confirmed that Alan Wake 2 was the fastest-selling game of the studio with sales of 1.3 million.
The Remedy Entertainment studio recently shared information about the performance of its games in terms of sales in a press release. According to this information, Alan Wake 2 had sold 1 million copies by the end of 2023, but now it has sold 1.3 million copies by selling another 300,000 copies. The sequel to Alan Wake has also managed to reach this amount of sales in a much shorter period of time than other Remedi works.
Remedy Entertainment says Alan Wake 2 sold more than 50% more in its first two months than Control did in its first four months, and even more than tripled Control's digital sales. Control has sold four million copies since its release in 2019.
Remedy went on to add that a great game can sell more in the long run, and he expects that to be the case with Alan Wake 2 as well. They plan to continue to promote and support Ellen Wake 2 and expand the game's story with two paid expansion packs. Remedy also plans to support the game and its fan community by releasing updates and other activities.
Tru Virtala , the CEO of Remedy, also announced in a separate statement that the success of the game Alan Wake 2 had a positive effect on other projects of this studio, and now the members of the game development team together with the creators of the project Condor, the game Control 2 and the remake of the first two versions of Max Payne games have been added, they expect these projects to enter the next stages of production by the first half of 2024 by increasing the speed of development.
