Persona 6 will be semi-open world
A well-known leaker claimed that Persona 6 will be semi-open world and have more flexible social links.
Persona 3 Reload brought great success to Atlus after its release last month, but considering that it has been a long time since the release of a new version of the main story line of the series, many fans are eagerly waiting for Persona 6. It is not clear when Atlus will unveil the game, but now a well-known whistleblower has published possible details of the role-playing game.
As noted leaker Head on the Block claimed on the ResetEra forum, Persona 6 will still follow the series' familiar formula and high school atmosphere , but will also be semi-open-world.
In another post, the leaker said that the social links of this version will be more flexible than before. In the Persona series, social bonds refer to the relationship that the player establishes with other characters and improves them to receive story and gameplay rewards. He claims that these relationships in Persona 6 are more interactive and have less time constraints than previous versions.
Previous reports have suggested that Persona 6 will be released in 2025 and, like Atlus' recent video games, will be a multi-platform work. Given that Sega, Atlus' parent company, expects Persona 6 to sell 5 million copies in its first year of release, the game will likely be released as a multi-platform title.
It also looks like we will see an expansion pack for Persona 3 Reload in the future that will add The Answer from Persona 3 FES to the game.
